About this Course

Instructor: Jay Kimball Sgraffito is an Italian word that means scratched. This tried-and-true historical ceramic process has been widely adopted for surface decoration. In this workshop you will make a clay dinner plate from a mold. Then you will learn how to apply coloured slips and carve/scratch your design onto the surface. Your creation will be clear-glazed and fired for you. No prior experience needed. Saturday May 3 and Sunday May 4 1:00-4:00pm Fee: $100
