About this Course

This 2-part hands-on Master Class is for potters or ceramic artists interested in expanding their glazing techniques. With the expertise of Jay Kimball, Students will learn to mix a base recipe from scratch, adjust the formula by volume, and gain a basic understanding of how to alter the glaze to create new and interesting desired results with a range of tests. KN95 masks and all glaze materials will be included in the fee. Part 1: Jay will teach glaze fundamentals, with hands-on mixing and application to test tiles Saturday April 20 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, with hour long lunch break. Part 2: After firing, participants will review and discuss the results with Jay. Tuesday April 23 3:00-4:30 pm Please let us know if you are unable to attend the second date.
